A man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle was pronounced dead after colliding with a Mitsubishi vehicle about 7:44 p.m., the Nevada Highway Patrol said.
The motorcyclist was westbound on Blue Diamond Road, near Balcastro Street, when the collision occurred, police said.
No other injuries were reported. Police were still investigating the crash Thursday night.
Blue Diamond Road westbound was closed at Rainbow Boulevard, according to the Regional Transportation Commission. Motorists were being urged to use alternative routes.
