A collision between a school bus and a car this morning sent two students and three adults to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The accident happened about 7:40 a.m. when a Honda Accord traveling eastbound on Summerlin Parkway near Anasazi Drive moved into oncoming traffic and struck the left front of the bus, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Loy Hixon said.
Two high school students, the bus driver, a bus aid and the driver of the Honda were transported to University Medical Center, police said.
There were no other passengers on the bus, and no further information about the injuries was immediately available.
Hixon said the westbound travel lane of Summerlin Parkway has been shut down.
