An Amber Alert has been issued for three children who went missing this weekend in Idaho and are possibly headed to Las Vegas with their non-custodial mother, officials said.

Police in southwest Idaho said 35-year-old Bertha Alicia Guerrero-Lopez, who may be driving a 1986 gray Pontiac with Nevada license plate No. 389XPR, has a history of drug abuse and child abandonment issues. Authorities think she may have taken the children to Nevada, where she has a residence.

Authorities issued the alert early Sunday morning after the children — Ubaldo Guerrero-Lopez, 9; Mirella Guerrero-Lopez, 7; and Esmerelda Guerrero-Lopez, 5 — weren’t returned to their foster home.

Police from Caldwell, Idaho, said Guerrero-Lopez picked up the siblings about 3 p.m. Friday but did not return them at 3 p.m. Saturday as planned.

The mother is described as 5-feet-1-inch tall and 139 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, authorities said.

Authorities released the following descriptions of the children:

• Esmerelda, 5, was wearing a pink shirt with a monkey on front, blue jeans with flowers on the legs and a pink hooded sweatshirt. She’s about 3-feet-7-inches tall and 45 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

• Mirella, 7, was wearing a tan and pink coat, blue jeans and brown and pink shoes. She’s about 4-feet tall and 55 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

• Ubaldo, 9, was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black Adio tennis shoes. He’s about 4-feet-9-inches tall and 75 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information about the children’s location is asked to immediately contact local police.
