Taking the CAT bus on January 8? Then you might not need your pants

If you take the CAT bus this Sunday, there is a definite possibility that you will see something like this.

Wed, Jan 4, 2012 (2:34 p.m.)

People all around the world will publicly shed their trousers on January 8, all part of Improv Everywhere’s Global No Pants Subway Ride. With roots in a small New York City showing in 2002, the event has grown into an international spectacle—expected to take place in 50 cities this year. Although we don’t have underground rails to ride here in Las Vegas, residents (and tourists) can participate by enduring a rather drafty bus ride to the Fremont East Entertainment District. The event is a rarity in Sin City—people taking their clothes off and not getting paid for it. So if you’re free Sunday and a mass public de-pantsing sounds like fun, mark your calendars! According to the Facebook page for the local installment, the No Pants CAT Bus Ride begins at noon, and supporters in their skivvies will congregate after at the Beat Coffeehouse Downtown.
