Another day of sunshine, with temperatures climbing into the mid 60s, are heading into the Las Vegas Valley, says Kevin Janison, KSNV-TV meteorologist.

"I think you're going to like where these temperatures are going," Janison said.

After starting out in the morning in the low 40s, temperatures will climb to 65 degrees by mid afternoon, he said.

Afternoon temperatures will continue to climb this week, with the high hitting 68 degrees Friday afternoon, he said.

"I think some neighborhoods could tickle the big seven-oh," he said.

Temperatures will be somewhat cooler for the weekend, climbing to highs in the low 60s, he said.

According to the National Weather Service, this morning’s low at McCarran International Airport was expected to be 41 degrees. The normal low for today's date is 40 degrees. The record low was 8 degrees, set in 1937.

Temperatures at McCarran were to rise today to 50 degrees by 9 a.m., to 61 degrees by noon and reach a high of 65 degrees by 2 p.m., forecasters said. The normal high for today's date is 59 degrees and the record high was 75 degrees, set in 1953.

Temperatures are expected to drop to 59 degrees by 6 p.m., to 51 degrees by 9 p.m. and to 47 degrees by midnight, forecasters said.

Thursday's morning low will be 45 degrees and Thursday's high will climb to 69 degrees, they said.
