Juvenile injured in crash

Pedestrian hit

A woman and a teenage boy have been hospitalized tonight after being struck in two separate collisions, Metro Police said.

The female pedestrian was hit by a gray Honda around 7:35 p.m. in a crash near Decatur Boulevard and Desert Inn Road.

She was taken in non-critical condition to University Medical Center to treat a head injury and a broken leg, police said.

The collision involving a 15- to 17-year-old male pedestrian happened around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Tropicana and Eastern avenues.

A tan Mercedes hit the teen — who was reportedly running across the street outside of a crosswalk — at Tropicana Avenue and Topaz Street, and the boy sustained a brain injury, police said. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital Pediatrics in critical condition.

No further details were immediately available. Police are at the scenes investigating.
