Mike Moser has another accolade to pile onto to his breakout sophomore season.

Moser received honorable-mention All-American honors from the Associated Press, it was announced Monday. The Mountain West Newcomer of the Year was joined by conference player of the year Jamaal Franklin of San Diego State. No other Mountain West players made the list, although Nevada’s Deonte Burton, who will play in the league next year, was also an honorable mention pick.

The first team featured one player from three of the Final Four teams, with Anthony Davis (Kentucky), Thomas Robinson (Kansas) and Jared Sullinger (Ohio State) being joined by Michigan State’s Draymond Green and Creighton’s Doug McDermott. Desert Pines’ Pierre Jackson of Baylor also received honorable mention recognition.

Moser, who averaged a double-double, was a first-team all-conference pick. He also made the league’s all-defensive team and the NABC All-District 17 team. Moser is meeting with UNLV coach Dave Rice this week as he weighs his options on whether or not to enter the NBA draft.
