Metro Police are investigating a one-car crash that killed a 23-year-old woman early Friday morning in northwest Las Vegas.

The wreck happened about 3:35 a.m. in the 7100 block of Oso Blanca Road, north of Deer Springs Way near Mountain Ridge Park in the area of U.S. 95 and Elkhorn Road, Metro Police spokesman Jose Hernandez said.

The woman was killed when the 1996 Honda Accord she was driving south along Oso Blanca ran off the road to the right onto the soft shoulder, then went into a drainage ditch, causing the vehicle to roll over. The unrestrained driver was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding medical personnel.

The woman’s name is not being released, pending notification of relatives, Hernandez said.
