If you usually take Arville Street between Oakey Boulevard and Sahara Avenue, start thinking of a new route — at least for a few days.
Starting at 7 a.m. Wednesday, that section of road will be closed for sidewalk construction, the city of Las Vegas said.
Only residents will be allowed through until the road is reopened Saturday. For everyone else, the city recommends using Valley View and Decatur boulevards as alternate routes.
The city, which is funding the project, said the improvements will bring the sidewalks into compliance with federal requirements.
