Smoke from overheated Stratosphere Tower elevator brakes triggered the fire alarm Saturday, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
Fire crews arrived Saturday afternoon, but there was no fire, Szymanski said. The smoke from the brakes had caused the alarms to go off.
No one was injured in the incident.
