The Las Vegas 51s were limited to four hits Thursday in being blanked by the host Nashville Sounds, 4-0.

The 51s’ Giancarlo Alvarado held Nashville to one run on six hits in pitching into the seventh inning, but Las Vegas couldn’t break through against Nashville starter Chris Narveson. Narveson fanned eight batters in seven innings, handing Las Vegas its third straight defeat.

Ruben Tejada singled in the first inning for Las Vegas, but was stranded at third base. The 51s only had one other runner reach scoring position in the final eight innings.

The series finale is at 5:05 p.m. Friday.
