A man’s body was recovered Sunday from Lake Mohave in an area where a North Las Vegas man went missing Aug. 4.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the man’s identity and cause of death.

About 6 a.m. Sunday, the Lake Mead National Recreation Area Interagency Communication Center received a call from a park visitor reporting that he found a body floating near Cottonwood Cove, according to the National Park Service.

Park rangers recovered the body.

Witnesses reported that Donald Soun, 23, disappeared underwater Aug. 4 about a mile north of Cottonwood Cove after he went for a swim, officials said. They said he was not wearing a life jacket.

The National Park Service, Metro Police and the Nevada Department of Wildlife conducted multiple surface and underwater searches for the missing man.
