Shooting
A motorist was shot this afternoon in an apparent drive-by east of downtown Las Vegas.
Metro Police Lt. Mark Reddon said the victim was traveling north on 28th Street near Stewart Avenue about 4 p.m. when the gunman drove up beside him in a gray car and fired.
A bullet pierced the driver’s side door of the victim and struck him in the leg, Reddon said.
Investigators are attempting to determine if the incident was gang-related. The victim reportedly said he did not recognize the shooter.
The victim's injury is not considered life threatening.
