A motorcyclist was killed this afternoon in a wreck on the northwest side of the Las Vegas Valley.
Metro Police Officer Laura Meltzer said the rider collided with another vehicle shortly before 2 p.m. at Craig Road and Jadestone Avenue, just east of Rainbow Boulevard. He died at the scene, police said.
The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the motorcyclist as Mark Erik Walwyn, 43, of North Las Vegas. He died of multiple blunt injuries, officials said.
Meltzer said all lanes of Craig Road were blocked between Rainbow Boulevard and Rancho Drive while police investigated the crash.
The road was expected to remain closed until at least 6:30 p.m., well into rush hour.
