The public can expect a preview of the new design of the Quad casino in about two weeks, when doors open behind the scaffolding and construction walls on the Las Vegas Strip.

A portion of the revamped casino floor is expected to finished as early as March 1, casino officials said. Most of the new slot machines are already installed, and table games should be delivered by Friday. The new area will represent about a quarter of the new 65,000-square-foot casino. The carpet will be temporary, however, as construction continues on the rest of the space.

The Quad, which has operated under the names Imperial Palace and Flamingo Capri since it opened in 1971, is on schedule to complete renovations both inside and out by the end of the year. The Friedmutter Group, whose work includes the Cosmopolitan and Red Rock Resort, is handling interior design.
