A computer problem at McCarran International Airport caused long lines at ticket counters Thursday morning, but the glitch was resolved by about 11:30 a.m. and check-in had returned to normal, officials said.
The computer system went down about 8 a.m., with ticketing lines winding outside the terminal.
"Passenger processing system is down, so check-in processes will be slow until issue is resolved. We're working to correct the matter ASAP," the airport's Twitter feed noted.
The issue impacted passengers checking in for departing flights, officials said.
The network, which automates processes such as boarding passes and airline tickets, went down for all airlines, which forced the adoption of a slower and more cumbersome manual process, airport spokeswoman Christine Crews said.
"There's undeniably going to be delays," Crews said as the situation unfolded.
Airport officials were trying to figure out what caused the problem, Crews said.
No flights were affected by the outage, she said.
