A number of Mylar balloons tangling with power lines caused power outages Monday afternoon for about 1,000 NV Energy customers.
Customers near Flamingo Road and Topaz Street were without power for about an hour Monday, an NV Energy spokeswoman said. Power was restored about 2:40 p.m.
A spokesman said Kindred Hospital Las Vegas-Flamingo Campus, 2250 E. Flamingo, was not affected by the outage.
