Two people found dead Friday in an apparent murder-suicide have been identified as Vanniesa Caroline Fernandez, 18, of Las Vegas and Luis Montiel, 29 of Henderson.
Fernandez died from multiple stab wounds to the back of her head and neck, blunt force injury to her head and a gunshot wound to the chest, the Clark County Coroner’s Office reported.
Montiel died from a gunshot wound to the head, officials said.
Metro Police received a call about 3 p.m. Friday of gunfire at an apartment complex near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway. Officers arrived and found two bodies inside one of the apartments, police said.
