A prison inmate was found dead inside his cell over the weekend at Northern Nevada Correctional Center.
Richard Ferst was discovered on Saturday, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections. Officials disclosed few details and did not say how the man appeared to have died, only noting that foul play is not suspected.
Ferst had been jailed since July 2011 and was serving a maximum sentence of 20 years for burglary, grand larceny and possession of stolen property, according to the Department of Corrections.
His case originated in Clark County.
