A motorist died late Wednesday in a fiery wreck.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said the person crashed into a light pole at North Buffalo Drive and Cielo Vista Avenue, near Vegas Drive, at about 10:40 p.m.
The impact apparently ignited a fire inside the vehicle, and by the time firefighters arrived the only occupant inside had died.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
Emergency responders shut down Buffalo Drive between Vegas Drive and West Lake Mead Boulevard.
