A Los Angeles woman is in critical condition following a wreck caused by a drunk driver on Las Vegas Boulevard, police said.
Police said Robert Orchard, 40, was trying to turn left from Siren’s Cove Boulevard onto Las Vegas Boulevard about 1:40 a.m. when he drove his BMW over a concrete median and hit a Ford Escape stopped at a red light.
The impact pushed the Escape backward about 20 feet, and all three of its occupants were rushed to Sunrise Hospital. Two were not seriously hurt, while one woman, 21, was considered to be in critical condition.
Orchard, who was not hurt badly in the crash, allegedly failed a sobriety test and was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
