An apartment sustained smoke and fire damage Sunday after a blaze broke out in a laundry room.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded about 3:30 a.m. to reports of smoke coming from a unit at Paradiso Apartments, 2701 N. Rainbow Boulevard, near Smoke Ranch Road. Firefighters discovered the fire in the laundry room and extinguished it, Las Vegas Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said.
The fire caused about $20,000 damage. No one was home at the time of the fire and nobody was injured, Szymanski said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
