Las Vegas-based slot maker IGT this afternoon announced it was rolling out the nation’s first multistate progressive jackpot network.
Powerbucks is being released at Boyd Gaming properties in Nevada and New Jersey. It will be expanded to other jurisdictions once they give their approval.
"True to IGT's pioneering spirit, we're excited to partner with Boyd Gaming in shaking up the gaming industry once again," Eric Tom, IGT’s executive vice president of global sales, said in a news release announcing Powerbucks. "We're thrilled to provide our customers with the opportunity to attract and entertain more players, giving them more life-changing jackpot potential with Powerbucks."
Powerbucks is a being rolled out as an add-on to existing IGT machines and is being touted as “dramatically increasing” jackpot potential “and the chance for all players to win big, and more frequently.”
"Boyd Gaming is excited to join forces with our long-time partners at IGT in delivering a new and compelling gaming entertainment experience to our guests," said Paul Chakmak, boyd’s executive vice president and chief operating officer of gaming.
