Accident

A pedestrian is in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after darting in front of a moving truck, according to Metro Police.

The accident occurred near Decatur Boulevard and Twain Avenue just before 5:30 p.m., said Metro Police Lt. Ken Romane.

The pedestrian got out of a vehicle and was attempting to cut across the street when he was hit, Romane said. It appeared the pedestrian was in the crosswalk, but the moving truck had the right of way, Romane said.

The pedestrian was transported to University Medical Center, Romane said.
