Sun, Aug 10, 2014 (3:35 p.m.)

A flash flood warning has been issued for the Cold Creek Road area, south of Indian Springs, until 6 p.m., the National Weather Service said today.

Residents in the area are advised to stay off the roads to avoid potential flooding from a thunderstorm that has been brewing about 11 miles north of Mount Charleston, the weather service said.

Weather in the valley remains stable with slightly cloudy skies and and a temperature of 97 degrees.

Meteorologists are keeping an eye on a storm developing near Primm today, but the valley should remain relatively dry, meteorologist Todd Lericos said.
