A woman was killed and another injured in an early morning shooting in the parking lot of a west valley restaurant, according to Metro Police.
A man, identified as Carim Cruz, 27, showed up to a large party at a restaurant in the 9700 block of Flamingo Road and got into a verbal confrontation with several people, police said.
The argument escalated into a fight in the parking lot, and Cruz got into a dark blue Mercedes-Benz sedan, police said. He drove by the crowd gathered outside and fired multiple shots, police said.
Two women were hit by the gunfire, which was reported at 2:37 a.m.
One woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to University Medical Center, where she was in unknown condition, police said.
Cruz, who police identified as a suspect, has not been located.
