The National Weather Service has issued severe thunderstorm and flash food warnings for Southern Nevada.

A flash flood warning was issued for Henderson until 8:15 p.m. after 0.75 inch of rain fell in the eastern part of the city, officials said. Some side streets were reportedly impassable because of flooding.

The area primarily affected is from the Railroad Pass area to Sam Boyd Stadium, officials said.

Earlier, a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for the Lake Mead and Las Vegas Bay areas until 3 p.m., with strong winds gusts likely.
