Metro Police have arrested the suspect they say shot and killed a man at an apartment complex near downtown early Friday evening.
Metro said they arrested 30-year-old Daniel Kelly as he was attempting to hide in a nearby complex following the shooting.
The shooting took place around 5 p.m. at a complex in the 2800 block of Sunrise Avenue near Eastern Avenue and Charleston Boulevard. Police responded to the area and found the man dead from gunshot wounds.
Investigators determined that Kelly and the other man were arguing over a past dispute when Kelly fatally shot the man.
Kelly is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center. He is charged with murder with a deadly weapon and giving a false statement to a police officer.
