Lockdowns at two west valley elementary schools were lifted this morning after no armed man was found near the schools, Clark County School District Police said.

Metro Police said Elaine Wynn Elementary School and Owen Roundy Elementary School, near Decatur Boulevard and Sahara Avenue, were locked down about 9 a.m. after police received reports of an armed man in the area.

The lockdown was lifted about 9:30 a.m., School District Police Capt. Ken Young said.

The initial report is believed to be unfounded, Young said.
