CARSON CITY – Gov. Brian Sandoval has named former newspaper publisher and editor Rex Steninger to the Elko County Commission succeeding the late Grant Gerber.
The governor said Monday that Steninger, 59, was the highest ranking finalist recommended by the commission.
Steninger’s family owned the Elko Daily Free Press until 2000.
