Former Lt. Gov. Sue Wagner is not alone. I left the Republican Party in 2011 because I could no longer bear the party’s illogical shift on several issues, most notably the reality of human-caused climate change.
Wagner noted in a recent appearance on MSNBC that she was stunned by the GOP’s abandonment of its environmental legacy.
I hope the party reclaims that legacy and puts forward market-based plans to address carbon pollution instead of simply bad-mouthing the Environmental Protection Agency.
Wagner is heartbroken about what has happened to the GOP, as am I.
I hope the party will change its ways in the near future.
