The Clark County School District will issue report cards for elementary school students twice a year instead of three times a year.
The School Board unanimously approved the report card change on Thursday.
Previously, report cards for students in kindergarten through fifth grade were issued on a trimester basis — every 12 weeks. Now, report cards will be issued on a semester basis — every 18 weeks.
Officials said the change will lighten teachers’ paperwork and align student grade reporting across all grade levels. Middle school and high school students receive report cards on a semester basis.
