The Las Vegas Wranglers fell 3-2 tonight in a shootout at the Alaska Aces to earn one point in the standings.

The Wranglers led 2-1 after a two-goal second period with Matt Tassone and Chad Nehring finding the back of the net.

However, Alaska evened the score at 2-all early in the third period on a goal from Ross Ring-Jarvi. Nehring scored for Las Vegas to open the shootout, but it was the Wranglers’ lone goal as they fell 3-1 in penalties.

Las Vegas goalie Travis Fullerton had 47 saves in the loss.

The teams finish the three-game series at 8:15 p.m. Saturday in Alaska. Las Vegas returns home Jan. 31 to the Orleans Arena.
