The driver killed Sunday in a rollover crash on 215 Beltway was identified as 32-year-old Maurice Andreas Rucker of Santa Rosa, Calif., Clark County Coroner’s Office officials said.

Witnesses reported that Rucker had been driving a BMW sedan at speeds faster than 100 mph about 7 a.m. when he attempted to exit off the 215 Beltway West at Decatur Boulevard, Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Jeremie Elliott said.

Rucker’s car then hit a bed of landscaping rocks, causing it to roll over. Rucker, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from his car and pronounced dead at the scene, Elliott said.

Coroner’s officials are working to determine the cause and manner of death.
