LOS ANGELES — Shows from broadcast, cable and the Internet are vying for honors in the 66th Emmy Awards nominations.

Leading contenders include dramas "True Detective" and "Breaking Bad" and four-time best comedy winner "Modern Family."

The nominations were to be announced early Thursday at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in Los Angeles.

The prime-time Emmy Awards will air Monday, Aug. 25, on NBC, with host Seth Meyers. The ceremony, traditionally held on Sunday, was moved to avoid a conflict with NBC's "Sunday Night Football" and MTV's Video Music Awards.
