A man killed in a drive-by shooting Sunday morning near Jones Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue has been identified as Issacher Akaka, 18, of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Akaka was killed when a white, four-door Honda Civic pulled alongside the vehicle he was in and opened fire, Metro Police said.
Three other people in the car were injured and taken to University Medical Center, police said.
The victims had just left a party where they were a fight with another group, but police were unsure whether the other people in the fight were involved in the shooting, officials said.
The shooting resulted in the 72nd homicide in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
