The Las Vegas 51s never fully overcame a case of cold bats Sunday, and the result was an end to their hot streak.
Winners of five straight entering the second in a four-game series against Memphis, the 51s dug out of a 5-0 hole midway through the game but fell, 7-5, in 11 innings.
Cleanup hitter Andrew Brown got the 51s' offense moving in the sixth with an RBI double, and Las Vegas (45-32) tied it at 5 an inning later with run-scoring hits by Allan Dykstra and Josh Satin.
The 51s put two runners aboard in the 10th with one out but failed to capitalize.
Zack Thornton (1-3) got the loss for Las Vegas after giving up a two-strike, two-RBI double to Memphis' Randal Grichuk.
The Redbirds improved to 38-39. The series continues at 7:05 p.m. Monday.
