A section of Interstate 15 North near Logandale was shut down this afternoon after a tractor-trailer caught fire, traffic officials said.
The closure was about four miles south of the Logandale exit, said Damon Hodge with the Nevada Department of Transportation. As of about 4:15 p.m., one northbound lane was open to traffic.
The fire was reported about 2:30 p.m., and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
No other details about the fire were immediately available, and it was not clear how long it would be before the highway totally reopened, Hodge said.
