Apartment fire
A child playing with a cigarette lighter ignited an apartment fire that caused an estimated $20,000 in damage, the Clark County Fire Department said.
Firefighters responded to the Villas at Painted Desert apartment complex, near Decatur Boulevard and Sahara Avenue, just after 9 a.m., according to a news release by the Clark County Fire Department.
Only one unit in the complex caught fire and no significant injuries were reported, the department said.
