Metro Police are investigating the death of a baby this morning after an emergency call in the east valley.
Police received a report at 11:51 a.m. of a baby in medical distress in the general area of East Lake Mead and North Lamb boulevards, Officer Laura Meltzer said.
The baby was taken to University Medical Center.
Police were informed about 12:40 p.m. that the baby died at the hospital, Meltzer said.
No other details were immediately available.
