An 18-year-old man is dead after a shooting in North Las Vegas this evening, police said.
North Las Vegas Police received reports about 6:45 p.m. of a shooting near Tropical Parkway and Lawrence Street, Officer Aaron Patty said.
The man, who appeared to suffer a gunshot wound, was taken to University Medical Center's trauma center, where he was pronounced dead.
Two subjects were detained for questioning, Patty said.
Tropical Parkway is closed between Lawrence and Losee Road while officers investigate, he said.
