The headline in the Sept. 30 edition of the Sun, “Why the dot-vegas launch is a racket,” grabbed my attention. I read every word of the column.
By the end, I wondered only why this journalist was even given space to write it, as there was no evidence or allegation of “racketeering” or even ridiculousness. Dot-Vegas just appears to be a regular enterprise by a local small businessman.
So I Googled a few things and found out that the writer, Steve Friess, is employed by Greenspun Media Group and that GMG also owns the Sun. The Greenspun Corp. owns the Vegas.com domain name.
