Ty Flanagan rushed for three touchdowns and returned an interception for a touchdown to help Mojave cruise to a 65-0 home win over Western on Friday night.

The Rattlers finished the season with two straight wins to go 6-3 overall and 4-3 in the Division I-A Sunset race, but they narrowly missed the playoffs thanks to tiebreaker rules.

Flanagan rushed for 109 yards and three touchdowns on three carries, Mojave coach Joe Delgado wrote in a text message. The senior and Sun Preseason All-City honoree also brought back an interception 50 yards for a score.

Mojave also got 44 yards and a touchdown on four carries from Elijah Smoot, and Nick Kline took his only carry for a 28-yard TD.

Rattlers quarterback Zack Arave completed 4 of 5 passes for 135 yards and two touchdowns, hooking up for scoring strikes with Taiwan Braden (65 yards) and Davion Fletcher (45 yards).

Frankie Contreras had a fumble recovery for the Mojave defense.

Western finished 0-9.
