Las Vegas high school football fans, meet Dominick Wilson.

The Shadow Ridge junior running back exploded onto the scene Friday night, rushing for 234 yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries to lead his team to a 25-14 victory over Desert Oasis.

“He was hurt last week,” Shadow Ridge coach Frank Tousa explained. “But tonight, he was getting at least five or six yards every pop. He had a breakout game for us.”

Wilson’s big night helped the Mustangs overcome a sluggish first half as they trailed the Diamondbacks 14-12 at halftime. He punched in his third touchdown after senior receiver Kyle Runnels hauled in a long pass at the goal line on a third-down play.

Shadow Ridge was able to hold on and limit Desert Oasis from there.

“We had more intensity on defense in the second half,” Tousa said.
