51s beat Fresno; catcher Plawecki promoted to Mets

Las Vegas 51s catcher Kevin Plawecki was pulled from the lineup in the sixth inning today of the 51s' 10-5 victory against Fresno for a promotion to the big leagues.

New York Mets catcher Travis d’Arnaud fractured his hand today against Florida, opening a spot for Plawecki in New York.

Las Vegas (6-5) scored three runs in the fifth and sixth inning to break a 2-all tie at Cashman Field, including a two-run double from Dilson Herrera in the fifth inning. In the sixth, Matt Reynolds knocked a bases-clearing triple for the 51s.

Brandon Allen added a home run for Las Vegas and Wildredo Tovar scored three runs.

The series against Fresno finishes at 7:05 p.m. Monday.
