letter to the editor:

Thanks to EMTs, hospital staff

Thu, Apr 30, 2015 (2 a.m.)

On April 22, while walking outside I took a nasty fall, resulting in a profusely bleeding, deep laceration to the scalp of my forehead. It was necessary to call the Henderson EMTs to get me up off the ground and to the hospital emergency room. While in the ambulance, I was evaluated for a possible concussion, my cardiovascular status and any other injuries.

As a retired physician, I was impressed by the efficiency and the competence of those attending to me, as well as by the staff at the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals — Sienna Campus ER who rapidly controlled the bleeding. My thanks to all of them. Those of us who live in Henderson should be proud and thankful that such a service is available when needed and should support the emergency responders in every way possible.
