Police in Las Vegas are investigating the death of a man who was apparently stabbed overnight before driving to a west valley neighborhood and collapsing on a sidewalk.

The name of the dead man wasn't immediately made public after he was found about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 5400 block of Holmby Avenue, near Charleston Boulevard and Lindell Road.

The man was apparently stabbed at an address near Alta Drive and Jones Boulevard before driving to Holmby, where he got out and collapsed before dying on scene, police said.

A person of interest was detained today, but that person had not been charged as of this afternoon, police said.

This is the 75th homicide this year investigated by Metro Police.
