CARSON CITY — Gov. Brian Sandoval said today negotiations are ongoing to bring Faraday Future to a North Las Vegas industrial park to build electric cars.

Part of the negotiations is a tax break for Faraday.

Sandoval declined to say when a special session of the Legislature might be held.

Rick Combs, executive director of the Legislative Counsel Bureau, said his staff has been preparing for several months and is ready to accommodate a special session with a week’s notice.

Faraday, according to some estimates, could create 13,000 direct, support and ripple-effect jobs.

California, Georgia and Louisiana also are courting Faraday.
