800 block of N. Sagman St., downtown
A man was found dead this morning, with multiple stab wounds lying in a walkway, according to a Metro Police press release.
Police were alerted to his downtown residence, a block from Cashman Field, about 8:35 a.m. this morning, but it is not known what time the stabbing occurred, said Lt. Terry Bernard.
The victim, a male in his early 50s, was already dead when the police arrived, he said.
Homicide detectives believe the man was walking and attacked when he entered the courtyard, according to the press release.
The death is the fifth homicide so far this year in Metro's jurisdiction.
