They have been teammates on multiple Nevada state championship teams at Bishop Gorman High and captured a gold medal together last summer with Team USA.
Chase Jeter and Stephen Zimmerman today learned they’ll be part of another prestigious team. They were two of 24 players selected for the McDonald’s All-American game, being picked over about 800 nominated players nationwide. They were assigned to the West team and will be joined by Findlay Prep guard Allonzo Trier.

The 7-foot center Zimmerman is still considering five schools, including UNLV. The 6-foot-11 Jeter is signed with Duke; Trier has signed with Arizona.
Jeter and Zimmerman follow Shabazz Muhammad (2012), and girls players Ashley Gayle and Aaryn Ellenberg as McDonald's selections from Gorman.
Trier is the 10th from Findlay Prep, a national program housed in Henderson, tabbed for the game since 2009. The others include: NBA players Avery Bradley, Cory Joseph, Tristan Thompson and Anthony Bennett, UNLV's Rashad Vaughn, Kansas guard Kelly Oubre, Washington guard Nigel Williams-Goss and Arizona's Brandon Ashley and Myck Kabongo.
The McDonald’s game, whose alumni include the likes of Michael Jordan, Kobe Byrant, LeBron James and Kevin Durant, is considered the most prestigious postseason all-star game. It’s April 1 at the United Center in Chicago.
